Most of you know (and love) the work of Patrick Rothfuss.
For those who don’t: he writes an incredible series called The Kingkiller Chronicle. It’s a trilogy, and two of the three books have been published so far. He’s also written a spin-off novella based in that world, which is a very strange, non-conventional work (and also happens to be one of my favorite books, featuring a character I love and relate to much more than I should).
When he’s not writing fantasy, Pat is involved in several projects, one of which is tending to Worldbuilders, a nonprofit that works alongside charities to, in his words, “make the world a better place.” Every year, Worldbuilders has a fundraising campaign called Geeks Doing Good. They create and sell a lot of amazing products–usually merch based on Pat’s books–and then donate the profits to charity.
This year, one of the items they’re considering is a Name of the Wind (that’s the first book in the trilogy)-themed lunchbox.
This is the design I sent them. It’s part of a conversation Auri and Kvothe have towards the end of Book 1.
