A tad delayed, CamannWordsmith Patrons—this episode was scheduled for September—but the team of Joseph, Joseph, and Joseph has summoned the llamas, collected the Infinity Stones and whatever else it is that we do, and thus created Episode 6! Earlier this week, I released my cover of “Can’t Find My Way Home” (originally by Blind Faith, though mine is done in the style of Alison Krauss and Union Station). In terms of choosing songs to cover, I haven’t explored the late 60s / early 70s yet, so this was new territory!
I had a lot to determine: how many acoustic tracks to create, how to layer the vocals, what to play for the solo, etc. Nineteen tracks in all. Like everything I record, figuring things out was a bit of a journey…and if you like, I invite you to come with me.
