This month’s poem is based on a true story. It’s about two former cruise liners that were later converted into warships during World War I, a cunning plan involving a ship makeover, and how it all quickly went wrong.
So the first thing we need for this painting, dear Reader, is an ocean.
I’m not sure yet what I’m going to do in terms of painting, but for some reason, I got it in my head that my initial coat should be ink-based. And since I couldn’t decide which shade of blue—or even which medium—to start with, I decided to use multiple ones!
Materials used: Oversized canvas, acrylic ink, liquid acrylic, watercolor ink.
